Our Advanced English is designed for Primary aged students (Grades 5-7) looking to level up their skills in English.
Throughout this program students will read and analyse more complex texts that stretch their comfort zone. Students will learn to recognise and use and use a range of advanced techniques for writing for a variety of purposes. We will experiment with advanced grammar structures and extend their vocabulary using advanced synonyms in their written work.
This course has a big focus on homework, with larger tasks expected to be completed in between sessions. It is important to allow about 1 hour between sessions to complete the homework task independently. Creating a habit for weekly independent writing time will accelerate your child’s learning and allow them to apply techniques that we learn in class. Resources are provided after every session and written feedback is provided for homework tasks.
This program includes a private one hour session, every week for ten weeks with an experienced and qualified teacher, feedback on each lesson and weekly homework tasks.

Lessons are conducted once per week at the agreed day and time.
Zoom link will be sent to your email for you to join each session.
Written feedback, resources and homework tasks sent after each session via e-mail.

Cancellations
We allow a maximum of two rescheduled lessons per term (every ten weeks) subject
to availability. Please allow 24 hours notice for any rescheduled lessons.
